Does anyone on here who are hoping to attend the Birmingham Commonwealth Games in 2022 have any idea if the organisers have plans for a temporary campsite for those coming to watch the games. I know that they did set up a large site near the stadium for the 1986 (?) Euro finals.
I've searched through the games web site but cannot find anything.

We have tickets through the ballot , I haven’t as yet thought about whether we will take the van , I am wondering if one of the clubs will set up a temporary site .

This is one of the closest sites you will find just down the road from where we live. To say it’s close to everything, it still has the feel of being out of a city.

I haven’t heard of any temporary campsites opening, there is a massive emphasis on using public transport in though and lots of cycle infrastructure and railway development as well as bus lanes are being installed in readiness.

Birmingham has seemed like one big set of road works for a few years now to put it all in.
