Just got price for BF Portsmouth-Santander return early May to Mid May with cabin £1,308. They are surely having a laugh.
And if you want to go into the posh lounge add £44 each way (but they are sold out)...............what a load of Bo@@cks.
I love the driving aspect of a tour (isn't that what a tour is about) so i will search for the least expensive Calais or such crossing add 2 or 3 days to my trip and trundle to The Picos.

Checked myself a few weeks ago. 4 of us including the Motorhome in June was over £1500 with the discount. Will definitely not bother so change of plans.

So who is the least expensive to cross the channel from-to any ports with a 8mt MH with a trailer and bike?

A Cunard Queens Grill Suite with Butler is less slightly less than that per night!

Oh BTW i didn't claim the discount for being mature. If asked my age i will lie and say i'm 59.

We have booked Newhaven this year. Not done it since the 90's/00's when they had a fast ferry. Did Poole-Cherburg last year outbound and that was good.

We did BF to Spain a couple of times on the Harley, after the first 2 times we decided to take the run through France it's about the same cost with hotels but much more fun. Once we had dogs and the MOHO we started to take the shuttle. As long as you have the time I think it is better to be on a road than a boat.

I see Portsmouth - Santander is now two nights each way. Evidently the 'new' ships are slower than their predecessors, as well as taking longer to re-fuel.
