My renewal is up next week so I'am doing the rounds of insurance companies, someone had said what the best NFU office was to contact but I can't remember what branch it was. Can anyone help plus any other companies that are offering competetive quotes just now ? Currently my cheapest quote has been with Comfort.

Some info. here that might help https://www.motorhomefun.co.uk/foru...icy-small-print-some-surprising-facts.187786/ - not just what we found but also the comments from others too.
We tried the main NFU number from their website plus Salisbury branch as recommended on here plus have tried Louth previously - same result from all three.
Also have a read of the reviews here if you haven't already https://www.motorhomefun.co.uk/forum/reviews/categories/motorhome-insurance.4/ but bear in mind what is best for one may not be for another as depends on so many variable factors as well as that tedious but essential small print!

When I asked NFU in Louth if they were the best people to speak to about MH insurance they said previously yes, as they were MH specialists, but nowadays it makes no difference.
They suggested dealing with our local NFU branch

We always get a human answer the phone in St Austell NFU! Have never had "diddle liddle diddle liddle your call in important to us diddle liddle diddle liddle" over and over again

Yes you still get all the fannying about stuff you have to listen to
and they are obliged to tell you to cover their backsides with Asbestos, but! you get that from any Insurance co nowadays.

I called Comfort last week as I was with them last year, a good bit dearer but I have an outstanding accident. Non fault that happened in Spain when a Belgian hit my van when I was parked in a campsite.:xangry::mad::mad:

I have moved insurance policy now because of number of days on Continent, but I had good service from NFU Louth in the past.

I now have an Allianz underwritten policy through Safeguard, with European breakdown for over 3.5t, which has worked well.

But no criticism of NFU Louth who seem to know their stuff. One gets a feeling just talking to people - especially if they do not have to put you on hold 'while I check'

Thanks for everyones input, NFU wouldn't quote because of the outstanding claim so I'am back with Comfort. They worked out the cheapest and with better cover than who I'am currently with, some quotes were ridiculous.

I'm drained, with Clubcare insurance I was on the phone for a whole hour,my brain is fried.:xblink: Did I also say I hate Belgians even more now.:xangry::xangry::xangry:

Don't think it mtters which one you phone first question is postcode? sorry we dont insure anything in that area.

They are all used to dealing with farmers, who have no sXXt from anyone. No problems and got straight answers with good service should you need it.
