Not long enough!
Hi Guys,
I read somewhere that the bolts holding the overcab pull down bed on my 2002 Hymer B584, need changing every now and again, and having checked them, at least one is looking decidedly dodgy, anyone know what size they are??

Not seen any worn before, but just bear in mind the struts are under 1,000 lb of pressure so care must be taken if you are removing bolts and trying to replace.lol

I`ve never heard of needing to change to bolts before..........have I got something new to worry about ?
The list is growing :eek:

Just depends on how much action it’s had I guess;):p

hi Tim...can you not get at the any of them to measure the diameter with callipers or the like.. they are likely to be metric and the diameter in millimetres will give you the type ie M6 ,,,,,,M 8 then all you will have to do is find out the length... or is it not that simple ??
you worn them out ???:LOL::LOL::LOL:

Hi Andy
First of all, it was like it when I bought it:D so it weren’t me guv:p
And secondly, probably, I’m just being lazy and hoping someone knows for sure:p

Don,t forget the bolts have a smooth part that the bars swivel on so the thread does not run the full length of the bolt .I would be very surprised if they need changing.
