Lots but slow learner.
Anyone thinking of using Devesa Gardens on the CV500 a touristy area south of Valancia should be aware that although it is a nice site with lots to see/do at night and all through the night it is like being on the front line in a war zone.
Every few minutes a shot gun goes off. What on earth they are shooting at at night i do not know. Some are just over the barrier where there is a body of water?? some are a distance away.
1st night on arrival i was knackered after a long drive and a few beers so although it was noticeable it was through a hazy head. 2nd night no beer and not tired so up at 3am typing this listening to the gun fire.
Be warned.

Wish i was deaf.
Yeh, as stated, no booze and 2 nights good sleep and gunfire = no sleep tonight.
Me neither, the winds whipping up right storm on the sea front here in Croatia!! The skylights are rattling like billy O!! Just wondering if they’ll be still on in the morning? Trouble is, its bloody red hot and we can’t open nothing (except a cold can) to cool down🤯🤯

Have stayed there several times, a favourite for us, albeit in January/February. I'd guess it's duck hunters/poachers on the surrounding lakes. Have you tried asking at Reception, they're usually very helpful?

Typing this while sitting in my own lovely garden under a clear blue sky following a fantastic night sleeping in my own bed without a single disturbance. Only sound apart from the Robin hopping between my feet looking for crumbs from my Digestive biscuit is the hum from the washing machine. Two birds of pray moving around the sky using thermals like a funfair ride.
It didn't cost me a penny in fuel to get here, no packing no ferries no airports. Are these trips to so called exotic destinations really worth the effort bob.

No not just yet WESTY:giggle: but I do sometimes wonder what the attraction is in driving for days to get to a destination that is little different from the one you departed from. I did hear that parts of Spain will be sweltering in 44c of sun today while we in gods own county are basking in just 22c. Beautiful:winky:

Any wild boar around you? Same thing happened to us in Slovenia. Wild boar snuffling round the grapevines. Device used to scare them off at night.

We live 300 yards from the beach in Cliftonville (near Margate) - we call it Kibiza... today (as is most days....) glorious sunshine calm pond like sea.... great walk with Daisy (dog) on the beach and some swimming for both of us... now having lunch in the garden and a chilled glass of Gavi.... Its a tough gig having to rough it at home..

Presumably the above have MHs and travel................maybe only in UK. Whoopee.

Anyway, transpires the "gunfire" was a automatic bird scarerawayer. For a couple of weeks each season when the seeds are at a certain yummyness the birds like to munch them so thay have this band that sounds like a gun to scare them of.

Wont come again, staying in UK where it's always sunny, i can get F&Cs and i can understand the locals...............unless in Scotland of course. :drinks:

They certainly are and they haven’t got to be exotic ? just interesting for the diversity of normal surroundings that you are in most of our lives .

That 44c is more likely 30c. People love to exagerate eh.
We saw 31c today near Alicante.

1st trip overseas in a MH since our trip to Australia in 2019 (rental).
So in answer to your question, yes most definatley worth the effort, IMHO.
I can see what you are seeing when i get back, but can't get a decent Paella in Cheshire.

Last night about 1am woken by noisy stone curlews in our garden, but we loved hearing them until 3 am. Along with the owls, too hot to go out in the campingcar 40° and 2.08 Lt so enjoying our garden.🇫🇷
