We are in our 4th year in our 2015 AS Kingham with 63000 on the clock still with the original pair of Leisure batteries. With the shorter days, lack of sunlight our solar panel just manages to seep a little charge.
The question is do we need to think about renewing said batteries as l have been told 4years is enough especially with 60,000 miles use?

It really depends on the quality and usage. There is a spec on good batteries that states duty cycles. That is the number of times you have fully charged them and discharged them down to 12.1V. or a combination of that.

You don't say what type of batteries you have? Mileage is not really relevant to battery life, although 4 years on a lead acid battery, dependant on usage is not bad at all.

It all depends on the way they are used.I don't wild camp much. Probably wild camp around three week's a year I use sites with hook up. When at home always on hook up. My first battery lasted ten years before I changed it.second one been five years and still ok.

My original gel lasted 13 years. At this point it had 50% of its original capacity.

I currently (haha) have a second battery that is 10 years old and still has full capacity.
