Battery icon on Peugeot radio?

On the radio screen of a Peugeot Boxer based MH (2018) what does the battery indicator relate to? Does the radio have a separate battery?

It is showing the state of the battery in your phone that is connected via Bluetooth.
 
I think it's probably the phone you have connected to it, as it's also showing signal strength and that you are roaming, maybe.
