What brand leisure batteries would you recommend as most reliable for general UK motorhome use.

I think I fancy Gel after getting confused in general, but can't remember why(y).

The brand new Elecsol 110 amp hour things that were fitted by the supplying dealer when we bought the van four months ago are dead!! which is not surprising since the manufacturer stopped trading 3/6/7 years ago apparantly:confused:

Your recommendations are most welcome please.

As long as your charging will support Gel I would go with that thought, we have EXIDE ES900 which are the old G80 that they used to call “HYMER fit” as nearly every Hymer had them, before they found they could get away with something cheaper.

Agree with Martin, Gels are very good & last for many years providing your charger supports them. I have 3 Gels in my van.

Yep, I have the Sonnenschine GY12065 they are 78a/h at C20 rate. Almost identical to the Exide, Sonnenschine make the Exide Gels they are an Exide company. Hymer used to fit them as standard.
