Can anyone advise on how on earth you get to the Bari car ferry from the a14? Wherabout in the town is it, the road signage for the port is very poor.

I put the following into my satnav and it took me straight there

Corso Antonio De tullio 6
70122 Bari, BA

Thank you for replying. Are there two entrances to the car ferry terminal? I know of the one near the stadium referred to by Robert and it seems a long way to the ferry terminal from there. Is the one on Corso De Tullio right opposite the ferry quay at the north end of the port and gives access to the ferry boarding area?

That’s the main entrance for ferry traffic
It’s about 3km to the terminal from the entrance

Thanks for all that info trying to make sure I know where I'm going before I get there!

We arrived at what we thought was the main entrance facing the terminal but it was for staff only.....................had to travel a couple of kms to the left (facing the sea) for the entrance and then an equal trek back on the other side of the wall.Top end of the loop as on maps previously posted

Hi all
We are booked for Saturday Bari / Igoumenitsa. Can anyone recommend any safe parking spots?
We intend to have a few days in Vieste area before.
Any recommendations would be helpful

Thanks for that Webby - it is confusing having those two entrances and such a convoluted route to the main one.

Whereabouts do you check in?

Sorry should have said route - Bari - Igoumenitsa

Thanks Pete - sorted now.

Oh that's about 7km in the other direction :D:D

Thank you for the directions. We leave Bari later today for Patras. Do you know if in the port area we can our empty cassette and fill with water. Thanks Martin

I'm excited for you even though Martin is on a much more 'practical' level - hope you have a lovely crossing. Looking forward to reading your thoughts on the ferry and beyond - our very own intrepid reconnoiters! xx

@Robert Clark
Thank you for your campercontact info - all sorted and ready for the ferry this evening.

@Tykatem

Don’t worry Ian it’s safe in the Moho garage..

The dog is still getting used to her ride though..

Might be worth keeping an old towel handy as the deck sometimes gets very wet and black with dripping condensation- helps to dry dirty shoes and doggy paws
Also you need to put your mobile phone onto airplane mode otherwise you will be charged for connecting to the maritime network

I'm in the bar, checking on the quality of the beer and the first if many Greek pastries.
