Since April 2022. Previously caravanners
We are on our maiden voyage on our Bailey Autograph 540 after trading up from caravans.
We have a drop down bed. The ladder hooks onto 2 small grey clips. When you climb into bed, the bed sags slightly and the ladder comes unhooked.
Nearly did myself an injury. Looks like bad design. How do you get the ladder to stay attached?

Hi....The ladders are pretty generic for most coach built vans. Are you sure that the bed is being lowered completely? It seems strange that there is enough play to unhook the ladder... I wonder if you could move the ladder hooks down a bit??
Hope you can get it sorted, doesn't sound very safe as it is.

Our Autograph 796 started doing the same thing on our last trip, and yes it is bloody dangerous if you dont spot the ladder has disengaged before you try to climb down, found the issue after starting to dismantle it, My son had used it a couple of weeks before and his partner likes to travel feet up with the seat reclined. Turns out you can put the passenger seat far enough back to foul the corner of the bed so it does not reach the stops, when you climb in the bed tilts as three corners drop down which neatly detaches the ladder. Luckily i had not got too far taking the mechanism apart before spotting it!
