Awning

Hi there, just bought a knaus sport traveller and am puzzled with the awning. When I got out the crank pole it has a hook on the end but there is no winding eye to fit it into? There is a hole with a slot that runs through it which the hook doesn’t fit into. Is there something missing or is it the wrong pole? Ps the pole is new in the wrapper and on the short side. Thanks in advance.

The crank pole with a hook on is what we have for our wind out canopy.
There’s an eyelet on the right side of our canopy fitting.

If easy, can you put a pic of the awning side of your Motorhome?

What make is the awning?If it’s Dometic they use the slot type drive!

Looks like a Thule bayonet winding point - you'll need this sort of handle
