Just started!
Okay, so two questions in one post :)

Q1
Our Fiamma awning fabric is very tatty and torn in places! Is it possible to change this and is there any special fabric?

Q2
Both support poles have been gaffa taped at the top ends to stop them separating! How are these normally fixed? Is it just a tight push fit?

Thanks

John

I would try Fiamma to see what parts are called then try ebay. The support pole knucle is held in place with a pop rivet . At least that is what i used when i broke one. I would remove the tape and see what the damage is first.

The fabric is reasonably easy to replace, as are the knuckle joints. It does look a bit abused to be honest and I would think about a second hand replacement. No telling if the gearbox will fail next or any other unseen damage. All the new parts quickly rack up the price and it rapidly becomes uneconomic

The leg ends usually have a self tappers screw down into the leg
Your awning looks like the Ti version rather than the more modern S version and I personally think the Ti version is better made.

Thanks all. I'm certain I can fix the pole/knuckle fixing very easily knowing it is 'fixed' to the pole - thanks for the info on this.

The Fiamma housing just needs to be cleaned up, it's dirty and the winding mechanism is working fine - maybe a bit of tlc and lubrication in the gearing will help prolong its life. We're not at the stage of replacing yet :)

Thanks for all the replies. As always, very helpful.
