Hello Everyone,
I have current hab door catch (presume original), which occasionally manages to jump out and leave welts on SWMBO's arm, resulting in many curses and naughty words.

Has anyone ever swapped this out for something not so sticky-outy?

Presume it would mean a new hab door?

Appreciate any suggestions...

Cheers,

Rich.

Since 2015, still learning
Not something I’ve ever heard of someone doing. Hopefully I’m wrong. Would padding work?

Hi Cush ,
Indeed, it does seem quite a bit of work to swap out the lock (& then to try and find another door to fit!).

Padding might work (thinking something like foam pipe lagging or a swimming noodle) - would just be a pain to have to keep putting on/taking off each time the door is opened.
Mind you, compared to the "pain" of the subsequent rant post-gouge, it might be the easiest option! 😉

Cheers,

Rich.
