Does it have an alarm system?
Cannot see one and nothing on the remote, just the Unlock Front/Lock All/Unlock Habitation Door.

Most vans have to have a Thatcham Cat 1 alarm system for the insurance to be issued.
You could try locking the van with the remote and opening it with the key, that should tell the neighbours whether it is alarmed or not.

I don't know how old the van is but our 2016 Fiat has a standard Fiat immobiliser and alarm and it needs to be uprated to make it a class 1 alarm.

The uprating kit needs to be professionally installed to keep the insurers happy but I think it was a fairly simple kit as it was not outrageously expensive.

The main thing I think it adds is interior sensors, ours are fitted on the dashboard.

Ours just works off the standard Fiat key entry system.

It's pretty useless I suspect as I understand a "break-in" on a Fiat Ducato is dead easy and causes the minimum of external damage.

I also think the standard way to break into a Ducato disables the dead locks and alarm system. But I could be wrong on that.

But it was required for the insurance and if they are happy so am I. (y) (y)

I have a 2010 Cherokee,it has a retro-fit cobra alarm, fitted by the previous owner when new.you should be able to tell if yours is alarmed by looking at the hab door/lockers to see if there are any magnetic sensors fitted.also any internal motion sensors.

Did that. The neighbours were not disturbed therefore, no audible alarm.

No sensors anywhere so no alarm it seems.

I will look up the details for you tomorrow. (y)

We had a Laserline 691T can bus alarm and it cost £269.58 plus labour (in 2016) and was fitted by dave newell lvs.

Dave can probably explain it more but I think as I said before was a kit which up-graded the makers standard fitment.

All I really know about alarms is the Insurance Company was very happy with it and so was I.
