Has anybody taken their monitor out and replaced it with another tv on a drop down tv bracket. Just wondered what it reveals when the monitor is taken out and does it look roughl. Cheers

More than toes wet now!
Never done it myself but happened to see one with the monitor removed (being repaired \ replaced) at a dealer when we were looking around for ours. Didn't take much notice of the fitting as we were shoo'd away as it was a customers van and not a display van (why it was parked amongst the displays and open?).
Anyhoo, what I seem to recollect is that it wasn't too bad but it was a bit roughish around the hole\s where the power \ video cables came through from the back \ top. There was also 8\10 screws mounts. Come to think of it, I think the unit had been removed from it's own back panel so what it would be like under (above) that?????
If your existing monitor is just that, a monitor, remember you won't need a tv with built in tuner, etc as the signal will be fed from the output of your media system (tuner will be redundant). A monitor might be cheaper than tv if you can source one with RCA inputs and a VESA mount. Alternatively, you should be able to get an RCA to VGA adapter.

We was thinking of hanging an avetex tv in its place and using the leisure batteries for power rather then the van battery. Just have to take the tv down when driving off. We never seem to get that good a picture/reception with the media system and monitor.

There is a round hole behind the monitor where the wiring lives

Be aware it's just a monitor so there will be no TV aerial cable there. Just a video cable.
It looks to me like you have the old Obserview system.
Never stripped one down.

We like the position of the tv being able to lay and watch tv , it’s just the quality of the picture etc of the monitor. That’s why we thought of putting the avetex there.

Try giving Sargent an email.
They may still have the wiring guide for the system and that may help if you find another monitor screen.
In theory there should be a 12v feed and a video supply.

I think they may have supplied it to Autotrail as it used to be listed on their website years ago. Also I had a failed camera and they provided me with the wiring configuration of the 6 pin din plug so I could rewire a new camera. But was maybe 10 years ago and I know the guy who helped me at the time has since retired.

Did some "surfing" and seems the original supply company was SCS Components and they went bust a while ago...
