Hi Funsters,
I'm looking at buying a 2018 Auto-Trail Imala.
Wifey noticed what she first thought was a bit of cobweb running down the ceiling beneath the front roof window (above the cupboards over the 2 front seats)
On closer inspection it's a long irregular crack in the internal ceiing liner.
Also, I noticed a sideways crack (3 or 4" ) about half way down the left side of the same roof window, but it looks like someone already filled it, but not too neatly.
The dealer says it is what it is, and Auto-Trail wouldn't cover it under warranty and it's probably a stress crack.
From the ground outside I couldn't see signs of external impact damage on the front "dome" without having steps available
What do peole think ?
Possible external impact that only repaired the dome, or internal stress crack (but what's behind the liner on the inside of the dome if I could take it off ?)
Or poorly fitted roof window that wil eventually allow moisture ingress ?
Is it possible to repair, or just steer clear ?
Photos are attached, and the one of the vertical crack seems to show smoothing of the dimpled surface (zoom in), so has it already been treated and reopened ?
Am I just being too suspicious ???
