I'm a newbie (ISH) 2022( type 2 VW's and caravans 1980 s to 2022)s
We are thinking about a Auto sleeper Warwick duo XL and wonder if anyone has any comments. Good or bad it's a fiat manual. This will be to replace a Benimar Tessaro T413 auto Thanks Pam and Richard

I've no experience of one but there will be someone on here that has.

I have no experience with one, but a neighbour has just taken delivery of a new one.

Obviously not driven it (and not likely too), but having a look over it I was impressed with the fit and finish.

It’s an end lounge which looked and felt very comfortable, excellent driving position plus a fully automatic gearbox.

Not as spacious as our elderly Inca, but still very desirable. (at a cost).

Thanks for your info . I hope this is in the right place on the forum. We have a couple of days to decide if we part exchange our 2021 van for a new Warwick or fix damp in our van (reading of 99%). The ingress is in the rear garage lower corners and floor. The damp has been in the same area each time. The cost of repair is £2800 and we have to pay £1800. We will always read the warranty carefully next time because the allowance decreases ever year. Next year when/if they find damp we will have to pay the full amount. Our fault for being careless in not reading the small print. This is the third time of having damp repairs. The first time was with the previous owners. I just wondered if a panel type van is less prone to damp or other problems.l can cope with less space after all l have camped with four small children in a VW type two.Pam

Is there a Warwick Duo XL ?
I'm aware of the Warwick XL and the Warwick Duo, but I didn't think Warwick Duo XL was a thing ?

The Warwick XL and Duo models have different internal layouts, the Duo has the toilet/shower by the sliding door which I don't like as it constricts the size of the entrance area and would let less light in etc.
The XL has the kitchen area by the sliding door with the large ( seperate shower and toilet areas) washroom on the drivers side.

I'm not keen on the rear windows, I believe they can't be opened and are not double glazed. This applies to both the XL and the Duo.

Despite my personal reservations, I know people with the Warwick XL and they love it.

We have had a Warwick Duo since 2018 & have few complaints. We love the array of kitchen worktop & don’t mind that the shower is a wet room. The van is very light & airy, & feels very open in the rear seating area. Our rear windows do not open, but are tinted for privacy, which we like. They do gather condensation sometimes, but we can open the large sunroof to let air circulate. We think storage is ok, although we do travel fairly light these days. There are things we would change in the van (get rid of oven & microwave, which I use as cupboards, & change to a Truma diesel heater when this one conks out), but I don’t think we will change the van. I don’t want to tempt fate, but aside from the dreaded airbag fault, it’s been fine! Forgot to say that I think the duo feels more open than the XL, & it’s 6 metres, as opposed to 6.4m.

Thanks for the info .we could probably store at home with a shorter length ,so that's a plus we need rear doors to fit the tandem in . Richard can make a fitting for this .he had a tow bar tandem carrier fitting for current van with front wheel off it does not stick out at the sides

Benimar and Autosleepers are both sold by Marquis, need to read reviews on customer care.
Some branches are better than others.

Well thanks for your info, as usual it has helped. We went for a test drive but Richard was not keen. While he was driving l happened upon a Auto sleeper symbol automatic. 5.4 m long, big enough for us and it will fit up our drive.
