Hi all, the Augusta is now 14 years old with over 100,000 miles a lot of which towing a 1500kg trailer. Today I noticed some clutch slip... So maybe the time is right for some preventative maintenance. Any recommendations or experience would be gratefully recieved.

Got it booked in......£2,128 inclusive.

But that doesn't include the flywheel, let's hope it's okay.

An engine out job sounds dramatic but most of the work changing a clutch is in disconnecting the driveshafts / suspension. Once that's done it's relatively easy to drop the engine and gearbox. If you have a dual-mass flywheel it would be a false economy not to change it whilst the engine is out.

Fairly certain all 3 Lt have a dual mass flywheel.

Good morning from Devon,
Yes it’s a mass flywheel, very important check the slave cylinder as they seize up and causing the clutch to slip.

Why is it an engine out job, is it a A class MH?

Hi again from Braunton Devon.
No you don’t have to take Engine out on a A class.

Is that with a main dealer?
The MoHo is in storage near Chester, I'm going back to France next week, so It's booked in second week of September when I'm back in the UK

So it's with Arthurs of Wrexham, who seem to be the only Peugeot dealer in the area that wants the work.

I tried Swansway Chester (Vehicle is too big) and Budgen's Shrewsbury (Can't be a**sed to quote).

Spinney Motorhomes (Don't do that sort of thing)

We did our 3lt N&B a couple of years ago and it was a dual mass flywheel.

I'd hunt around for some more quotes. That price I would expect to be for a pressure plate & drive plate , around £230 , dmf at anything from £330 to 650 & £50 for the concentric slave cylinder. Leaving lots for labour & vat.
No idea why they want to remove the engine?
