As any body had a problem getting breakdown cover for a car when in Europe

As anybody had trouble getting break down cover for a car. When taking the car abroad with motor home
AA refused on grounds that the car was on a trailer

Surely the breakdown cover for the mH would cover all & everything you are towing to be recovered ? same as towing a caravan?

No I have ours with LV= Britannia rescue and the same for the motorhome however I think you will find if the car is on the trailer you would not need the breakdown until you start using itand should you have a breakdown whilst pulling loaded car trailer your motorhome breakdown cover is used.

You quite right don’t need breakdown cover while the car is on the trailer
it’s having breakdown cover while using the car in a normal day to day
I’ve been with the AA for a number of years I telephoned them only to be told that won’t provide cover if the car is on the trailer .
I told them I wanted the cover for when the vehicle was not on the trailer . They still would not provide the cover
I used to get it with my insurance but now they are only offering 31 days
I’ve looked on line for the cover there are firms that will offer the cover up to 120 days at a cost
would have liked to have done it under one hat so to speak
never had a problem before getting the Europe cover with the insurance

I don't follow why you would need Breakdown cover for the car, surely you have the ability to recover the car with the Motorhome and trailer?

Not if you are broken down in the middle of Donana and your van & trailer is at the campsite 50 miles away
