Are these units "smart" or not? Please see photos.

Perhaps someone with better IT search skills than mine can help.

Thanks in advance.

What do you mean by “smart”?

If, like me, you mean can they be controlled by other devices on Bluetooth or WiFi connection, then no, they don’t look like smart devices to me.

I don’t what other charging you have, but you could add the cab battery to the solar controller. If you get an excess for the habitat battery 👍🏻

Okay it must be Saturday ;) 🙄. I meant will the charger just provide a steady current to the battery and cook it if left on or is it demand / charge level controlled i.e. computerised.

PS its not on a MH, but in a caravan.

 no, not your fault. My smart was just a different direction.
The solar controller looks a lot like mine and is quite simple. It’s been on my Motorhome for years - def. before I owned the Motorhome - and hasn’t cooked the hab or cab battery.

Current supply wise I think it’s the charger you need feedback on.

Edit: where did Canberra Coe from? Meant “cab”. Fixed

Thanks, It is the charger that I'm most interested in.

Google is your friend. The caravan charger will charge and maintain the battery. They are prone to go faulty if the power supply 240V has unexpected spikes.

Thanks, I tried Google a lot but in this instants I failed to get any meaning full info.

That's similar to the simple solar charge controllers I've been using for years with out any problems.
The MPPT types are over three times the price and I'm sure they won't provide three times the performance.
