Wondering if we could lease a car for use when in France as non-residents. We wouldn’t be owners of the vehicle thereby not falling foul of the prohibition of registering a vehicle as a non-resident. Hiring a car for more than 28 days seems impossible.

We have a second home here and would like to have a car whilst here as it‘s impracticable to use the motorhome for shopping, trips out etc. Don’t want to tow a car either. Looking for a solution. :nerd:

I don’t think so . Our Canadian family did this direct from Citroen but I think it is only available to countries outside Europe .

Perhaps change car hire company after 28 days.

Would ‘outside Europe’ not now include the UK?

Citroen Open Road is the best deal around if it is now available to UK residents post Brexit.
Am searching the internet for details. 👍
