It’s that long since we’ve been I’ve forgotten what we used!
- Which ACSI app is the one to download? The Motorhome pitches one is more expensive.
- is it worth having the Pro version of Camper Contact or is the free one good enough
- Is it worth paying the extra €29 for the Pack Privileges of the CampingCar App.

Also is cash used much any more?
Thanks!!

Card's are used more in France now although still not that popular in Germany.
You will also need the French Anti Covid ap to prove that you are double jabbed.

Thanks I’ve got that sorted but still need to work out how to load my sworn declaration and QR codes onto Eurotunnel

Didn't bother with the declaration when we crossed back to France last month. Not heard of anyone who has been asked for it using Eurotunnel.

I'm pretty sure you only need take a printed A4 QR code for you both of you.
That's all custom's asked to see.
With the French app you just need to photograph the same second jab QR code on the a4

We came back on Thursday after about ten days touring France. We don’t have a QR code for anything. We have paper vaccine certificates. We did fill in the declaration but we’re not asked for it either going into France or anywhere in France and again not asked for as we left.
We acquired a French pet passport for the dog and were asked for proof of negative tests again we have paper certificates and PLF in the pet reception. I presume this is to share the requirements to show these between all the passport control areas rather than just one. It all worked very smoothly and we ended up on earlier train.

Probably not but it depends where you are going and when. If there is a specific aire you want to use in a popular place then the Pack allows you to book ahead. That's the only real benefit I can see of it.

Agree that very little cash use - maybe in cafes and bakers, but we’re hardly touching the cash we brought with us.
We did think about the CCP Pack‘Privileges but decided to only get it if we found CCPs incredibly busy. Certainly some of the coastal CCPs were very busy in August, but I wouldn’t have thought you’d need it now.
I quite like the Acsi aires add-on, but the app itself (the CC version) is very slow to load on my iPad. Generally use Campercontact app - having problems with Camperstop.

Travelling across France at present to Marseille. I would carry a couple of cards in case one plays up. I would recommend the French COVID App as many places will not let you sit down until checked. Angles Morts and UK sticker on van a must depending on size of van. Not seen many Brit vans on travels. Have a good trip.

Just went to a vet and asked for a passport for the dog. She couldn’t do one for me though. I even said I’d have the rabies jab.
Wow. Thanks. We’ll try that next time. I’d heard they had stopped issuing them to non EU residents. We even have a vet we use regularly when over there.

In the advanced passenger information pages (where you enter passport numbers etc) you can upload documents. I uploaded the NHS Covid Certifacate and the PKF as PDFs and they where “approved” immediately. I tried to do them as photographs but they were flagged as needing review.

Agreed. Even small bars in small towns asked for it. It is easier on the TousAntiCovid” app but the paper version of the NHS document is widely accepted.

We bought Angles Morts stickers with us, but haven’t put them on. I’ve been keeping an eye on use generally- really only seen them on liners and tag axles. And a couple of GB vans, which might have been 3.65 tonnes!
Certainly don’t plan to put Johnson’s stupid UK stickers on - I don’t think they’re even valid until 28 September!

Sorry….. didn’t answer the question. We use searchforsites. Great app

And we use Campercontact and pay the €5 fee. Also good

I think the privileges allows you to pre book pitches on their sites which might be helpful at a very popular location in high season?

However, I really don’t think you would need it at this time of year , we have managed to find a spot wherever we have been.

I am a camper contact user and pay the €5 fee .

Just like at home trying to find a free Aire by the coast is a night mare. You need to go inland just a bit and there are loads to choose from.
My only two are Park4Night but be sure to read all the recent reports and Camper Contact.

You have got to combine your p4n with your Google then find your spot and confirm it with your Google earth.

I went with 60 euros in notes thinking I would need to find a cash machine quite quickly. However.....I returned after 10 days with 30 of those euros still in my wallet and some coins. Everything by card now.
Except for washing machines they still use coins 🤣
