My Canon 5D MkIII failed to switch on, sent away for repair based on the expectation it required a new power board but, unfortunately that wasn't the problem! Quoted for a replacement main board but cost was crazy so £12 for return postage and camera was returned.
So I bought a Canon R8 and loving it. Then I saw an advert on eBay for a fully working main board! Long story short, the seller agreed to fit the board for me at little cost, camera still didn't work! I then watched a Youtube video showing the fitting of a main board and, it turned out to be my camera in the video
Part 1:
Part 2:
The guy clearly knew far more than me and spent over 2 hours delving into my camera trying to fix it. I'm awaiting the Part 3 video when he fixed my camera
So, I now have two Canon cameras both working.
First picture with my R8
I can highly recommend Camerarestore and will be my first 'port o'call' if my camera fails.
