During the Truckers Protest Trudeau invoked Emergency legislation intended to deal with an “extreme threat to Canada”, this gave him powers to freeze bank accounts of the truckers and anyone who donated to them, without any court action, or appeal. It was much easier than him sitting down and listening to the Truckers concerns. Sadly the supposedly free press largely ignored this and the Canadian banks were happy to hold onto their customers money such that they couldn’t even use a cash machine.
Thankfully Boris has seemingly used the courts to freeze Russian oligarch accounts, rather than this huge breach of trust in law and the right to individual possessions.
Do not rely on the likes of the BBC ITV Sky to bring you news, because they won’t.
