Anyone used either of these sealants?

I was reading up about the PU18 stuff the other day as I got some tubes at a car boot sale, it's supposed to be very good stuff and used in a marine environment a lot, the only comment was that if you've stuck something with it, it can be a s*d to remove it later, but to be fair that's similar to Sikaflex!

I've just used some of this from O'Learys to stick my solar panels on and it's very good stuff, I suspect its the same stuff just with their own label on:

Have a look at Stixall it’s very good and even stirs in water.(y)(y)(y)

I used to have a boat and we fixed a solar panel to the coachroof with 3m heavy duty adhesive velcro.
Very effective and no holes.

That's an excellent price for 4 x tubes. Perhaps they are short dates, but not a problem is you are using them shortly.
That price beats Tool Station's Puraflex 40, (even with shipping costs) which @Terry recommends, and I have used successfully.

You weren't doing 70 Mph + in the outside lane of M1 though? ;)

I too use the same 3M HD Velcro, and confirm that it is very good stuff. (y)

I used the Toolstation stuff on my flexi panel which failed after 18 months and I had to remove it. There's no way that panel was coming off due to road speed, even if it had been glued to the rear wing of an F1 car. Replacement panel's been on over two years now with the same adhesive.

Thank god for that, won’t be anywhere near me if he uses the cheap stuff;)
BTW, that Puraflex 40 from Tool Station.....................is manufactured by none other than Sikaflex. ;)

Cheers,

Jock. :)
