I have twice, never had to use it thankfully but very useful when selling the van before expiry of warranty. Peace of mindHas anyone taken out the extended Fiat warranty when getting a new van?
If so how much was it? Dealer just said you have to purchase it in the first 14 days.
Wonder if its worthwhile if not extortionate
I spoke with jo.collinson@adamsmorey.com absolutely brilliant!Phoned Adams Morey yesterday.
Took the details from me and said they would send me an email to fill in
Nothing arrived today

Pan European breakdown cover. Ours is just about to expire.Yes. We purchased it. Approx £950.
A lot of money but it does include breakdown cover.
It doesn’t include breakdown cover now I was told a few months ago so it not good value nowHas anyone taken out the extended Fiat warranty when getting a new van?

It does include breakdown cover but there is a question mark regarding year two. See my post #41 above. It doesn’t include breakdown cover now I was told a few months ago so it not good value now
The website says it is 24 months for motorhomes.I have read elsewhere that breakdown cover on a new Ducato is now only for one year. The extended warranty covers years 3,4 & 5 but there is no cover for year 2 so alternative arrangements need to be made. Can anyone confirm this?

Exactly the same for me when we had a 2020 Ducato with Comfortmatic, now sold. Fortunately I never had to use either warranty or breakdown. We got Extended warranty in 2017 as I didn't trust the Comfortmatic, never used the warranty put as said gives you peace of mind.
Now got real peace of mind we sold it![]()
The is a thread running on the Adria Twin Owners Group on Facebook where some people are claiming that Adams Morey have confirmed that for UK registered vans, camper assist is now only for one year. They are saying that the extended warranty provides breakdown cover for years 3 to 5, but not year 2. I am just repeating what has been said but I currently don’t know if this information is correct. The website says it is 24 months for motorhomes.
I think you are correct as the email from Adams Morey confirms no breakdown cover for year 2I have read elsewhere that breakdown cover on a new Ducato is now only for one year. The Fiat Assist for 2nd year ended in September 2024.I think you are correct as the email from Adams Morey confirms no breakdown cover for year 2
3, 4 and 5 are covered
"
Do be aware there is no Fiat Assist for year 2, it is included in the 3years
Warranty for years 3, 4 and 5, but you will still need to source you own cover
for year 2."
I am not Jim, but I asked the question at Adam’s Morey, Portsmouth, earlier this month and they confirmed that from September 2024, the breakdown recovery had been discontinued for year 2 of the standard 2 year warranty. If you have bought an extended warranty then the recovery is valid for the 3 years of the extended warranty. If you bought before September 2024 than you get 2 years of recovery. I suppose the way to look at it is as two separate warranties, a 2 year warranty and a 3 year warranty. I think they would struggle to justify removing the recovery service from the extended 3 year warranty given the price of the warranty and the fact that when the 3 year warranty is taken out it states it includes Fiat Assist recovery.Jim
I suspect that the majority of Funsters buying new motorhomes are going for Fiat-based models. There does seem to be some confusion about the cover for 5 years from new when the extended Camper Cover is purchased. Would it be possible for you to seek a definitive answer from Fiat UK on behalf of all subscribers to MHFun? It is obviously nonsensical to have cover for breakdown/recovery etc for years 1,3,4 & 5, but not year 2.
The Fiat Camper Assistance website states :
The roadside assistance service for motorhomes on a Fiat Professional base is free for the first 2 years from the initial registration date.*
Is he trying to sell you a worthless insurance warranty instead? Most dealers can not sell the extended Fiat Camper warranty and some will try to sell an inferior insurance based one instead, because they get commission on selling financial products.Hmm - After seeing this thread I enquired about this with my dealer yesterday for my due-to-be-delivered-in-November new MH, and he replied that the Fiat extended warranty was discontinued at the end of June this year and is no longer available?!?

Just to let everyone know that Fiat have just launched a new product called Complete Care. In addition to being an extended warranty it covers all service costs for the duration of the package. That also includes all consumables at service time. The standard warranty only is £952.80 for 5 years whilst the Complete Care package for 5 years depends on mileage. 25,000 miles is £1436 plus VAT, 50,000 miles is £1802 plus VAT and so it goes up to 125,000 miles. I bought the 25,000 miles package which effectively will cover 2 services plus MOT. At present a 2 year service is approximately £400 from a franchised dealer, which is necessary as I understand it to maintain the extended warranty if you take it so it remains to be seen whether I will save money as labour and parts costs increase. Incidentally, the warranty is fully transferable on sale. If anyone is interested ring Gary Rogers on 07843 833158 as he is fully clued in on this and can organise it all for you.Has anyone taken out the extended Fiat warranty when getting a new van?
