Thinking of spending the weekend at the coach park, it's next to the conference centre where they are holding a cat show, which wife and daughter want to go to.
Just wondering if anyone has stayed there overnight and whether they thought it was secure or not.

If its the one at Albert docks we did stay there but 3-4 years ago. Had to visit passport office so took grandkids and made a trip of it.
At the time it was on the net that you could stay and pay £15 via the meter in coins. We arrived, i called the number on the board to check, guy told us to park in second coach park and pay. No issues apart from some youths in a car who parked near us late night and then threw all their McDonalds crap out the windows.. HOWEVER I thought they had now stopped allowing ovenight (council) but the Marina allows it.

The RV is to big for the marina, I phoned them.
A couple of good reviews on sfs, but daughter and hubby who live in Manchester think Liverpool is like Beirut, so wife is having second thoughts.

if theyre making the point that Beirut have a better football team than Man Utd (who i have supported through thick and thin) then they may have a point ..... :wasntme: :wasntme:

whenever i have been to the land the diddy men, ive found it no different than any other city, yes it has its issues, but show me one major city that doesnt!

they will be fine if they park in a suitable location, but isnt that the same as anywhere?

There are a few sites outside the city where you could park up and then hop on regular local transport into city centre.
For a large RV possible best bet is the Camc site in Southport or the stop over next to the fairground. Both on s4s
40mins on the train from Southport to Liverpool city centre.

Decided on Burrs park cmc, meeting daughter and hubby in Manchester then train to Liverpool.
If the steam trains are running then we won't have to walk to the tram in Bury.
£105.30 for 3 nights.
Did try new mills but full, and the wife don't like Strines.

Stayed at Kings Dock many times, quite safe and easy, plenty room.
Liverpool is much safer than its old reputation especially down the docks with all the Arenas and security/cameras

now if your gonna go up to kensington, take your gun

Probaby 2 years, Iv ebeen doing New Brighton lately, but am glad you said cos now new brighton is rubbish since the introduced main road only and charged, I was thinking of using it again. That said when I drove down about 8 weeks or so back it seemed open to vans then ? have they binned it recently do you know.

Maybe Liverpool marina club then, its nice down there too, with the facilities if you need them.

The Ireland Stena ferry car park was another one too ? have they stopped that

Didn't stay but walked over while the girls were at the cat show, looked ok, around 10 vans there.
I will stay in the future.
