I’m going to look at a MAN charisma this week, not the ones near Brighton, there’s a Carthago liner there also, looks tidy with a good spec, ok it’s on the iveco chassis with 8 speed transmission which I have no knowledge of, the guy sold it and went and bought a new Morelo so I’ve been told.
Anybody on here? Does anyone have any experience of these m homes?
Cheers

Do you mean a liner or a hi line? The hi line is normally on the lighter daily chassis and looks like a bigger E line, the liner tended to be on MAN chassis. They're rare but are a few around in UK. Was one for sale in Stratford u avon area ladt year which looked an absolute bargain but too wide for our lane at 2500mm.

Hi line isn't a bad product but I would not choose the lighter chassis.

Good luck with the charisma. Is it the same one we were discussing weeks ago?

jongood sorry should have said liner de lux, yes it’s a lighter chassis iveco 3.0ltr well 7.49t, the MAN is different to the one from last time looks really clean but french bed, not sure the mrs will be happy with that! Bar version and only 16,000 on the clock, bloody 5 odd hr drive but at least there’s a couple to look at 👍

I don't normally like french beds but the 840f actually works pretty well imo. Prportions are quite good and still a lot of garage space.

Cathargo could well be the 5 ?? Tonne daily not as good as the 7.2/7.5 one in some opinions

Yep just over 5 t looking at the spec, have heard the 8speed gearbox is a massive improvement on the six speed though, my RS had been re mapped and was still dire on long inclines, I never used it as a full auto as it never knew which gear it wanted to be in and either changed too soon or too late🥲
