Hi all,

Does anyone know / can recommend a mechanic who would carry out a pre purchase inspection of a Hymer motorhome in the Bath area please?

I understand AA inspections have limited value and are not geared towards motorhomes so your help would be appreciated.

Happy Friday everyone

Thanks for this. Just had a look and while the cover comprehensive check of habitation area, they don’t cover the engine/mechanics of the vehicle which is a shame. But thanks for the post...

Still looking for mechanic or technician if anyone knows one?

Best wishes

I Don't think a Mechanical check and Hab check is in a single persons remit'
You have an overlap of two trades persons, Your MoHo should always be thought of as two separate entity's
Other wise you start asking for help with a Swift Engine or a Fiat Bed

Paul Gunstone would probably take a look for you but the vehicle would need to be taken to him. (He is a motorhomer as well as mechanic)
Ray Swain would be able to do a habitation check, I'm pretty sure he would travel to Paul's garage to carry out the inspection.
Paul has looked after all my vehicles for years, he also recommended Ray to me for some habitation work. I'd happily recommend them both.
Both are busy and it might take a few phone calls to make the arrangements but it's almost certainly doable.

As an alternative, Serenity Leisure isn't far from Bath, they offer both engine and habitation services.
I haven't ever dealt with them, so have no idea how they work...
