We are seriously considering px our Apache to the K yacht 80. We love the rear lounge but fancy the drop down bed. Inside looks immaculate and reminds us of our boat!

The only concern, reading many reviews here, the drop down beds often have problems.

But if you own one, is there anything we should watch out for?

Marquis sell them, but I have only praise for warranty work that had to be done on the Auto-trail.

Any first hand advice greatly appreciated please

How tall are you? If I remember you roughly same height if not a tad taller than me. 5"9.
When we looked at one of these my head rubbed against the underside of the drop down bed and because of this we didn't buy.

Beautiful van, ..my next choice provided build quality is right.

You’d buy an Italian van? Really? Why?What have the Italians ever done for us?

Apart from sanitation, medicine, education, wine, public order, irrigation, roads, a fresh water system, and public health, what have the Italians ever done for us?

I think you will find that if you were a Legionnaire of the XX legion of 43AD, your Centurion would have used the term "Liberate Britain"
Thoughts of any invading army ,I suppose the locals were
not so chuffed :mask:

That friend Carol mentioned is me and yes still here!

We have owned our K-Yacht 80 for around 2 1/2 years from new and totally love it, 22,500 miles later.

As to the height at the back where the drop down bed is, you sit there not stand. At 6ft the height of that area is totally irrelevant.

We came back from Spain last Thursday after our first long trip away ever. Seven weeks was really great fun and living in the K-Yacht was a real pleasure.

Drop me a pm and I will introduce you to our facebook group for owners.

Regards

Chris

We considered one of those from Marquis, but the one they had on 'display' seemed to have lots of bits broken, so wasn't sure how well it would last.
(We bought a Knaus instead!)

I get that you sit in the area. But as you walk towards the back of the Mh my head rubbed on the underside of the raised bed.
Lovely mh and I loved the coffee table and the cream against the wood interior 😍
Have you got the heavy chassis as I didn't think the light chassis could go over 3850?

We are really pleased with our 85, we looked at the 80 but we really needed the extra storage for longer term camping.

Just look at em now o_O
