enough to know i shouldnt touch things i know nothing about ....
noticed a small crack leading from a stone chip, which was high up on the windscreen behind sun visor, so i didn't see it before the crack appeared. its now starting to spread, i am not unduly worried as all screens are laminated and it wont suddenly shatter, however i am thinking of having it replaced while over here in France. There are a few windscreen companies in the area so getting it done shouldn't be an issue (peugeot boxer chassis)

has anyone had theirs replaced through their insurance company (we are with Saga) whilst overseas?

'C' or 'A'Class body on the chassis? Will make big difference on availabilty of screen. Want to sit around for 10-14 days for delivery of right 'A' Class screen?

its a c class

I always seem to find it cheaper for all repairs and replacements in the UK. I would be waiting until I got home.

Did the same to mine on the way down to portugal.
Had it repaired when I got back 3 months later.

Yep, had a Boxer screen replace by CarGlass through Autoglass. Screen changed on pitch at campsite.

Rear hinged window on Espace changed by CarGlass (Autoglass) under insurance, no problem

I did wait until I go back. Having it done in a week by Autoglass, through Saga. Thanks

A week to wait!

We had 2 cracked windscreens earlier this year, one in Spain and one in France. Both replaced through our insurance company by CarGlass. The one in Spain was done the same day, the one in France the next day.
