Hello, am I correct in understanding that you can purchase travel insurance from some insurers for an extra premium, for destinations that have been put on the 'naughty' list? I am getting the impression that some insurers will cover you for health insurance for all but covid related claims (apart from pre existing conditions). We haven't yet decided upon a final destination, but would like to have all options on the table.

Battle face won’t insure for pre existing conditions, StaySure appear to.

Eurotunnel cover pre-existing provided your doctor would say you were fit to travel at the time

Thanks. I will ring around those three tomorrow and see what they quote.

Haven't checked personally, but I've read that Battleface will only cover you up to 59-years-of-age. Best to read the small print.

Also check the small print, the first insurance policy my daughter took out looked fine until about page 8 when the small print had travelling against FO advice was not covered
She told.them where she was going and they took her money, only after I read the policy did we find out it was worthless. They are refunding now

Staysure have provided a quote. It covers declared existing medical conditions for travel to any countries on the fco red list, but not anything covid related. I have yet to read the small print.

Eurotunnel aren't covering you if the country you're visiting is on the FCO essential only travel list, eg France, Austria etc

Should have added that staysure charge an extra premium for red listed countries, plus you need to tell them which ones you plan to visit. This applies to their single trip policy.

For all the long termers staysure will only cover upto max 104 days duration on there single trip policy.i just got a quote from them,£236. Battleface quoted £746 for 175 days. Ouch!!
Cheers Cris.
