Surly someone must have some info…🤷🏼‍♂️

I had one for years it was a great van and apart from a very occasional niggle solved by turning it off and on the gearbox was fine. Although I believe they are horrendous is they do go wrong.

At last… I thought there must be someone that’s had one, I’ve read a fair bit about them and there has been some trouble with them as you’ve described and getting stuck in gear or not starting because it’s stuck in gear… but as always like the fiat comformatic you only hear about the bad ones… I’m not sure how many auto transits they made but I would imagine a few, the Aussie postal service had a lot and that’s where most of complaints come from.
Also it seems to be more on the 90bhp ones rather then the 125bhp that I’m looking at… and your right it’s a nightmare to fix it and some have converted them to manuals instead of fixing…

Ours work well I towed a Harley with it and even with that on the back up and down hills in Cornwall and we towed to France all with no problems

This is a pic taken in France after we stopped taking the bike. We still had a trailer because the van didn't have enough storage 🙂

That looks like an earlier model of our Rienza. Lovely motorhome with a layout we like.
