I have retitled this as the previous 1 was asking if there was Groups for members by area. Someone replied thinking I was gonna go round Knocking their door! Eh no.
Was just wondering where people go locally for just a couple of nights around this area. Probably done most but someone usually pulls something out the bag.
Invermill Farm Dunkeld, Cairnsmill St Andrews, Queen Lizzie Stoney, Banchory, Ballater, Braemar, Killin, Callander, Balloch are our usuals for quick trip away.
Any suggestions / recomendations?

Looked it up, Yeah another 1 for the list. Cheers

The dam at the end of Glen Lyon if you like to get away from everyone.

Lol, all of the above for us. Although, at weekends, we like to be 1.5hours or closer. So, Forfar, Banchory, Ballater, Tarland, Huntly, Aberlour. What about a Grantown on Spey, Loch Morlich. (y)

Yeah Granton is a good 1. Cheers

We were at Deeside Holiday Park last weekend. Lovely site. Walks along the river. We walked over to town, Peterculter, to get bus into Aberdeen, though I believe there is parking at the harbour. For those with children, the site is only a half mile from Story Book Glen.

CMC site at Silverknowes, Edinburgh, handy for city but also just up from Cramond shore.

Loch Morlich also gets my vote ?

What’s the sites like up your way?

We were booked into Deeside but had to cancel. Wood Leisure been to Callander and Balloch all good, specially with the discount card. Its on the list. Cheers.

Thanks for all suggestions. G

Just back from a few days away. Scone, Perth for a night, was ok not overly impressed then onto Milton of Fonab, Pitlochry. Shower block just done up over winter, was very nice. We were going to stop a couple of nights at Inver Mill, Dunkeld as it just opened today, but our 2 sons were a bit panicky about the current crisis. They decided to go shopping at Asda, Arbroath and did a video call showing their trolley of urgent supplies. Ben & Jerrys ice cream, sweets, Pizzas, tins of soup and a bag of frozen peas.
On that we decided it was time to return home!

Should have gone to the Aero Club at Scone while the going was good :)
