So, after lots of research and too many hours on the internet we are quite liking the look of Dethleffs Advantage A6971 2009. It is with Motorhome Depot...any guidance from you would be most appreciated.

We sold and bought via moho depot.
Very good in my in my opinion.
Had a couple of issues the batteries were dead they paid for new. Paid for it to be valeted and I negotiated a warranty in the cost. They told me cam belt didn’t need doing until seven years old. Found out it was five years and they paid for new cambelt.
If the van is for you go for it i have no experience of the make.

Motorhomedepot are brokers selling for private sellers, as you might already know, so you might not get the full consumer rights as buying from a dealer. They have a good reputation. I imagine they are receiving a commission in the range of £2-3,000 for the sale and in normal times there might be room to negotiate. These clearly are not normal times but don't be afraid to try. Just don't leave it too long or someone else will buy it from under your nose. Good luck.

Looks nice . 👍🏻
That's what we think. My other half really likes the A class but I prefer this style. It's hard finding the one that ticks all (or most) boxes!!

I think it might also have air conditioning in the hab area ? That’s well worth having 👍🏻

Bought through MotorHome Depot two years ago and was very happy with the transaction. Came over fom Ireland and was nervous about the process and the guy from MHD was great to deal with - picked me up from airport and did not rush my 3 to 4 hours examining everything. Your mileage may vary with different MHD regions but I was very happy.

In relation to the camper - I had the 2006 version with the 2.8 and they are a brilliant bit of kit. There's not many campers that have a sliding door to cut off the rear lounge - that enabled me to put the 3 kids to bed and sit down in the front with my wife. Ours was plated at 3850 and I got it downplated to 3500 which in retrospect probably made it illegal most of the time. I didn't see what this one is plated at. Wasn't comfortable going over 50mph in it due to the big luton in front but other than that - brilliant piece of kit - very well constructed!! We had the hab air conditioning as well and loved it for both heating and cooling.

According to DVLA it is 4000kg so will need C1 licence. The MOT history shows advisories on the last 2 MOTs for worn discs both from and rear so may need changing soon.
3000cc engine so chain driven no cambelt to worry about
