Hello Funsters

Has anyone got any recommendations for a stop over near Bodensee?
It will probably only be for a night on the way back from Austria (coming up through Bregenz but could come off earlier to go up the other side of the lake if needs be).
Problem is, it will be in August, so peak.
Thanks all

Uberlingen had a new stelplatze which replaced the old one, its on the same site but just larger. There is a nice deli type shop close at hand and a good Italian restaurant as well. Your ticket for parking obtained from the machine gives you free rides on the small bus into town and lakeside.

Meersburg on lake Konstanz. Great aire and beautiful town. Supermarket behind Aire, pictures don't really give it any justice as it was a terrible day.

There's a stopover at Stockach Bodensee at the Dealer, Caramobil, we bought a Hymer from them in 2007.

Also stayed here - Good stop and the walk into town is ok … the walk back uphill after a few swift ones can be challenging though :)

Thanks very much - I shall take a look at this as well then

If this is the same stellplatz we stayed on it was 12 euros a night and needed coins. 12 euro pieces are not easy to have unless you're prepared.

Not sure if it is still there, but there used to be a machine close to the ticket machine where it was possible to change notes into coins. That was on the old Stellplatz.
When travelling, we have several small containers that used to be used for 35mm film rolls. One for €1, one for €2 etc.
