LMC Liberty 6400
Sorry if miss posted
I’m looking to see if there are any other vintage LMC owners.
We have a 92 Liberty 6700 that has been poorly modded by previous owner
Would love to pick brains of any one whose owned or owns a similar model?
thanks

LMC in the UK are called Geist for some reason. They are part of the Erwin Hymer group but it might help if Jim moved your post to the Geist section. I'm afraid I don't know much about them. Geistguy might be able to help?

Our Geist was a 2009 model purchased in 2010 used, it was brilliant, never had any troubles at all and it was used a lot. We only changed because to go to 7mtr instead of the Geists 7.4mtr and to improve payload. Sadly we couldn't buy another Geist as they're not now imported as far as I know.

Brilliant, well made Van's.

PS couldn't be bothered to change my forum name 🙄

Hiya RV+3 - my (LMC vintage) question exactly.

Am the proud owner of an about to turn 30year old Sofim 2.5 non-turbo LMC Liberty 560 - a bit smaller than yours from the photo but is completely original. It was imported to Barcelona province where I live by the previous owner who drove it in from Germany.

It is my first MH and while I frequently see mk1&2 Ducato-based coachbuilts, I can count on the fingers of one hand the number that were LMCs. I didn't know they were rare and knew even less that MHs from the previous century don't feature a lot here. I had intended to see if anyone was interested in a thread about vintage MHs but looks like you got there first!

I have quite a few questions myself about this van type and old LMC fixtures and fittings - I would like to keep it as original as I can because it literally is timewarp... if starting to get a bit tatty.

I'm sorry to hear that a previous owner did a hatchet job on your van's fittings. I can supply photos of mine if that's helpful?

I did wonder about some mods myself - solar, windows, an awning, the chronically slow engine, I also have to repair upstairs front corner damage following an impact with a tree last year. Issues to do with re-framing and sealing for bodywork and windows accompany this.

Let's strive to keep our vans alive!!

Hi paul
I’d love to see what you get up to
Two of our window panes fell out this year so also will be attempting to fix
Had no clue how rare they were either but going to try and get her back to glory!
