Having a lovely walk at Lochmariaquer, Brittany. Saw loads of these blue berries but I don’t know what they are. Are they safe to eat? SWMBO isn’t prepared to be a guinea pig. ;)
Seriously, this is a lovely part of France. Even Chris might be converted.

Looks like Sloes to me make some gin with them.?? Usually they are very bitter to taste.?

Thanks. The boss thought they might be sloes. Only likes tonic, ice and a slice of lemon or, at a pinch, lime with her G&Ts. (y)

Sloes. Pick now and freeze to break the skin and possibly enhance the flavour or wait until the first frost and then pick to add to gin.
