OK got myself all confused (Easily done)..... Now my V5 states Revenue Weight is 3850kg, the only plate I can find is as below which is on the pillar inside drivers door.

Now the manual says there should be a plate in the habitation door, looked and nothing is there, gone through all the manuals, documentation etc and can't find anything else.

How to I know what my payload is (Difference between the laden and unladen weights)?

MoHo is a Renault Master 3.0 base 2006

That’s a Renault plate, their should be a converters plate too. Then if it’s been up plated there should be another plate similar to ours.

Have a look under the bonnet usually on cross member over radiator?
Your payload will be what your vehicle weighs with all extras fitted taken from your Gross vehicle weight.
It’s worth going to a weighbridge before loading anything and then working from that.?

Yeah, can't find it anywhere... so your payload would be GTW - GVM? 1250kg? thats before I get onto axle weights etc!!!

No, GVM Gross Vehicle Maximum.
GTW Gross Train Weight.
GWT is allowed weight when towing a trailer.

OK, can not find it anywhere, looked under the bonnet, on the bonnet, on the rad, bulk head, under the van, it every locker and on the inside of both cab doors and habitation door.... I can not find the plate anywhere:mad:

There must be a converters plate somewhere what is the converters name, Autotrail,Autocruse, Hymer? A photo of van might be useful.

Not to nitpick but to clarify.
GVW is indeed the max weight of vehicle but actually stands for Gross Vehicle Mass ( not weight)

In our Carthago it's on the rear of the wheel arch inner cover on the passenger side ... you might have to have another game of 'hunt the plate'!

You know two things. Renault built a chassis @3500kgs and DVLA have rated it @3850kgs. I suggest that the paperwork and new label have gone missing somewhere.

As far as payload goes you could empty the van of everything, drain all water and fill the fuel tank. Then get a weighbridge report with no driver in the van. No matter what the converter says this is the true empty weight. I advise full fuel as it gives a known point, if you know the capacity of the tank you could then work out weights for half tank etc. Obviously the payload is the difference between empty and the 3850kg.
The next thing is axle loading, probably will not be a problem unless you want to carry a lot of load at the back of the van, bike racks with heavy electric bikes etc.

Yip, agree, I put my upgrade sticker on the drivers door pillar as per instructions. Original still under the bonnet. (y)
