Of course many people know this, but I've been using emails for decades and didn't realise this, that if you hover over the apparent email address of a sender in Outlook and similar, you get the true address of the sender if is a scam email address that has been doctored. So an apparent HMRC email showed paddyodonahue@ whatever. Not being racist, it just happened to be the case. I did wonder whether to reply to that address to remonstrate, then decided to block it.

The same applies to links sent within emails. the link might reference a legit business but hovering over it shows where it's really going to lead you.

How come the flag on my avatar has become Romanian? Alright, who did it?

Actually I probably did know it. Just didn't put 2 and 2 so you could block it.

I do miss having that facility on iphone and tablet :(
It looks easy enough to get the same info. Unless I’ve misunderstood 🤔
On iPad, I’ve got some suspect email senders.
Tap finger on their name
