I’m looking for a recommendation for a Hymer habitation check to keep my damp ingress warranty in place. Have fallen out of love with Hymer at Stafford and looking for alternatives? Any suggestions really appreciated - many thanks

I used to have the damp check only done at TW so as to keep up the Hymer damp warranty…much cheaper than the damp and hab check together… then you can have a hab check only done at a time and place of your choosing… not really needed every year if your van is relatively new…

Don’t start me off on Hymer damp checks for warranty purposes. Nightmare and what a ‘rip off’. May get mine done in Belgium next time.

Have you thought about the Approved Workshop Scheme? We are having a hab check done on our drive tomorrow by one of their members.

Our hymer is out of warranty now.
But I think that the damp check needs to be on the hymer computer system, so has to be done at a hymer dealer.
Thats why we went to Campirama in Belgium.

To maintain the warranty on Hymer, you must have the damp check carried out by an approved Hymer dealer. Once the damp check is done, the dealer updates the Hymer electronic record for your MH. Hands tied I am afraid. That is until the warranty expires.

Sunlight only recognise authorised Sunlight Dealers for any Hab checks etc. 🤷‍♂️

We've just used Devon Leisure Ltd, came to our home, good job done £140. Last year cost me more than twice as much through our dealership plus the petrol.

No use at all for most continental brands , Hymer definitely don’t recognise that scheme .
That scheme was dreamt up by the NCC and the 2 big clubs which doesn’t sit comfortably with me at all .
