Hi all we are in Florida at the moment (the whole of May) so we’ve stopped at a few sales places some great prices RVs but god they are ugly all I can say is our European one are so much nicer but each to their own I suppose

Which part of florida are you in? as we are also in florida cape coral area. Been here for a couple weeks nearly. We're at the end of our holiday but I've seen some good prices on rv's like yourself just a shame it's over here though. Getting it shipped and then converted would be a lot of hassle. Be good for driving in the usa though as the roads are so much wider.

The days of getting a good deal on an RV in the US are long gone, we went in search when the exchange rate was £1=$1.90 and shipping costs were acceptable. The GBpound at the moment is on parr with Jumbali Coco bean

What do you have to convert on an American RV?
110v input to 240v, generator 110v to 240v, all mains sockets, ours had kept 110v fridge/freezer via transformer, direction indicators, red to amber, headlights, etc.

Given what people are saying about LPG availability it could take a while to pay back!. I think RV,s are designed for where they're built likewise European motorhomes
Very true

We are in Orlando doing the parks as usual we love all the parks then off to at Pete’s beach for a chill as the parks kill you

You need another holiday to get over those parks lol. We've done them a few times but usually avoid them now when we go back. We're in a quieter location this time on the west side of florida.
Weather has been amazing as I am sure it has for you as well.

You can still get a lot of truck for your money if you buy one already converted in the UK. LPG tanks for engine, UK spec lights and transformers that leave the 120v ring and a new 240 volt ring to your liking. The guy who imported our RV about 20 years ago went socket crazy - must have 15 double UK plug sockets at least, probably a few more as I forget the ones hidden in cupboards (at least 5 from memory).....

Get some pictures of the yank tanks, we’d love to see them.

They changed their currency a few years back from the Metamagumbo Bean.

You can't just say US RV's are Ugly because they make so many. While we notice the 40 footers, the most popular motorhomes in the US are Panel Van Conversions, these are rarely on campsites. IMO They do these so much better than we do in Europe. The Boldt for instance, is a stunning van, though you'll neeed a mortgage to buy one.

When it comes to coachbuilts there is nothing Ugly about the Winnie View

Some of the Thor (they own Hymer) smaller models are just as stunning

I posted a pic of a Thor in Henley last week. A very Cute van and one i would certainly consider.

They look good(y) love the full paint, what sort of money are they? I can't see a price even on the used ones.

Yoy can get a nice one for just over $2m (if you buy secondhand) :D
