With Prime day approaching (21 -22nd) I thought this might interest someone.
I recently installed an Echo for in my van and it's been working perfectly.

I used the usb power supply, Echo bracket and power lead listed below. (I already had the Echo at home)

We've done the same with an old 2nd generation Dot - I just used sticky back velcro to attach it to the wall :giggle: The 3rd generation ones are a bit heavier though so your bracket is probably a better idea for those.

Where does it get its signal from, WiFi , tethered to phone or what?
We have an old phone we use as a hotspot (hopefully to be replaced with a proper mifi soon). If we're just away for the weekend and its not worth topping up the data SIM we tether it to a phone (use the same SSID & password on the phone as we use on the hotspot - then the Dot connects automatically).

Thank you for this post.
I’ve just ordered the 4th generation speaker, it’s £24.99 if you order by 12pm tomorrow but you have to order using Alexa 🧐

The fourth generation one is much bigger, I don't think it can be wall mounted. Also not sure if the power supply I linked to will work with it?

Will see when it arrives tomorrrow,
Hopefully we can Mackle something together and if it’s too big , my mum might be getting her 3rd gen one swapped 😂

We've got an old original one in the van, they work straight off usb so easier to power up, and have also have a USB battery pack for listening outdoors

Just ordered one too. My 3rd generation can go in the van now....great tip cheese toastie....👋

We use a Ultimate Ears BOOM 2 in the van its not got WiFi so link it to my phone using Bluetooth. It has a built in Li-on battery lasts about 5 days on a charge and its waterproof so good for outside with English weather. Use its big bother at home a Megablast that has WiFi.

Yup, the UE is our tool of choice as well. Great kit.

We have the exact same set up! I love Alexa for timers and feel lost without one in the van. Ours is connected to our motorhome WiFi!!
