This morning we woke up in Salzburg, a wonderful city and a dream to look at.
However, we are on our way to Croatia so only 2 nights to stop. Our next stop was to head for Ljubljana in Slovenia
. All set to bomb it down on the tolls, when reading Lenny HB thread Coastal Cruiser. Cruiser Suggested the more challenging route would be err more fun.
havinf skied with a camper for 20 years I thought why not, what could go wrong.
So we headed over two passes flattnitz pass and Loibl pass. Not quite the route recommended but boy, a beautiful drive with some really challenging roads. Not really the uphill drive but the downhills were proper steep...
We turned a 3 hour toll drive in to a 5.45 hour scenic drive but boy was it worth it.
2 nights in Ljubljana then Porec and a few days break..before race day.
