Do you remember those 'Solar Batteries', just a battery thet you can charge from solar. Just seen the new 'Alternator Charger', a battery you can charge from your alternater!
What next, a 'Water Wheel Charger', or 'Donkey Charger'. Got to admire there initiative.

Isn'this is part of the kit that gadget John had for a full system and ripped it out cos the cables supplied went tits from memory.

Maybe Jim should change his glossary terms from b2b or DC to DC booster , to read "alternator charger"..

A2Bs or alternator to battery chargers are quite common on boats that have two alternators

Been a lot of reviews of b2b voltage converters (12 to 24 / 36 v) for big power banks but heating is definitely a concern. The ecoflow one i looked at online is intriguing as it looks like a sealed box and surely must get hot.

Apparently according to one critical review I’ve seen it gets “hand hot” like a laptop charger .
