Sooooooo excited as we're on the brink of our 1st MH! We had some issues with how the MH was registered on the v5 but have hopefully got to the bottom of that now. Just waiting for a mobile repairer to come out and confirm costs involved in a couple of repairs then we're all good.
I just looked at my profile and realised it's been a 4 year search for us up to this point. Seems such a long road!
This last year we suspended our search as my FIL was very I'll and we looked after him in our home. Then he was diagnosed with late stage pancreatic cancer and we nursed him until he died just before Christmas. It was a very traumatic time and this MH is a blessing, the times ahead we can enjoy in it are very much needed. The lady who currently owns it inherited it from her brother. She had no where to keep it so it has been sat on our drive for the last week. That has really helped us make sure it was the right one for us. We've done everything bar sleep in it - but we might do that this weekend!
My only worry is the two side skirts at the rear have large chunks out of the plastic and I am worried as to whether we'll be able to get new ones. If not, I don't know how they could be repaired. It's where each corner has obviously been knocked. It's a 2003 CI Caprio 55, no idea who can get spares for them. Keep everything crossed for us please!

Well done, Someone on here will tell you who will repair plastics as replacements cost a fortune, also being italian the body parts are almost none existent over here. they are a good van. is it on a Merc or fiat chassis?

On a Merc. We've never seen this make before but it's very solidly built inside.

We had a caravan the same age. We didn’t bother with the cosmetic stuff, far more important to go and enjoy it. If the corners aren’t structural, why bother?

Congrats and enjoy.

The Plastic Surgeon does repairs on plastics and all other types of surfaces. Used extensively in the construction industry repairing upvc window boards, upvc window frames kitchen surfaces, stone fills etc.

Depends on how bad the side skirts are damaged it could be a fairly easy DIY job

Large gaping holes in each corner. A MH repairer looked yesterday and confirmed they can be fixed. He said he'd make a mould and use fibreglass.
