Sounds like a plan but getting a garage to do it is another thing but it's worth a try thank you

I usually call Coastal when I’m unsure - and they are always spot-on with their advice.

Be prepared to pay a few hundred £ for Alko cables!

You may have to first remove the cable to get exact measurements. I did that because there were some options very similar to mine. I couldn’t read a part number on the cable.

I had mine made locally at cable craft, Hailsham, East Sussex. They make stuff for diggers/tractors etc. I just took my old ones & they copied. Lovely people. Was about 3 years ago.
There may be a sept local to you?

The ALKO cables have a part number repeated along the outer.

I just searched the part number on Google. It brought a few stockists up. However, I didn't need one in the end and got away with just adjusting them.

I had this about 17 years ago. Turned out I could only get parts from Alko themselves. £175 for half of very little.... Things may have changed? I hope so.
