Not sure whats happened but Gas has completely shut off and def have full tank of flo gas. Also, Alde heating will not work on EHU 230 Volts Nothing blowing out vent below Fridge or behind seats etc.

All fuses are ok so really cant work these issues out and both seemed to happen at same time. Cant switch alde to gas or both as cant get gas through. Any help appreciated please

Hi Steve,

Is the hob working?

Error codes?

Was it working on gas and electric before?

What’s the display say?

The more information you give, it’s more likely someone will know what’s wrong.

No, hob wont ignite and if I switch Alde heating to Gas I get error that NO GAS. Have heating on 240 Volts but nothing kicking in. I have hot water

Okay, check all the gas manifold taps are on and make sure you don’t have a dodgy bottle. Usually it’s the regulator that’s given up the ghost if you have no gas in the whole van.

With the Alde, if you have water but no heating it’s working but the pump isn’t circulating the water round. Is the pump symbol on in the control panel? Turn the stat up to max and see if the heating comes on.

Do you have any form of crash protection system fitted ??
On mine it has push in devise where the connecter joins the bottle, on some vans it has a push in button on the actual regulator.

I know that sometimes when i have had the bottles turned off i often have to press the re-set...

Good idea, forgot about that. On mine the button on the anti rupture hose often needs pushing back in too.

Just copied this from our Alde Manual (troubleshooting section). Assuming I understand correctly, that you have hot water (via EHU) but not heating.

Poor heat or none at all (circulation in the heating system)
• Check that the symbol for the circulation pump is visible in the standby menu when heating is required, see section 2:2.
• Check that the circulation pump is working.
• Check that the correct circulation pump is activated, see section ”2:15 Activation of installed functions”.
• Check that the heating system has been bled.

Let me know if you need me to look anything else up.

Hi, nothing I can see crash protection wise. Assume that would be near bottle? No gas at all into Van for hob or heating/water. On the regulator, there is a black part that unscrews but inside nothing seems to be moveable? There is a green button which I held in for 5 seconds and released slowly but to no avail?

Cheers

Tried to be clever and check fuse as per image and mr clumsy dropped something down side of tank. How the hell do I get that back. Looks like a dealer job as beyond my remit. Tried to put another fuse in but seems too big. are they special size fuses where the green box is guys?

If there's no gas in the van it won't be the Alde at fault,is there a gas isolation switch anywhere, are all the taps on the manifold open?

That green button you pushed in, sounds like the reset button on the crash sensor of our gas valve. Did it stay pushed in?

As stated here, you have no gas at the Hob so not likely to be the Alde.
You say the hob will not ignite but is there actual gas coming through.... If not its back to the gas supply, possibly a gummed up or faulty regulator maybe ???

Your Alde heater is most likely fine. Don't expect it to provide much for central heating with just mains because the element is only small and enough to heat the water.
You problem seems to be the gas supply. Do you get gas if you disconnect the cylinder and turn it on? That would confirm that you have (Propane?) gas in the bottle (and the problem is most likely your regulator). You could remove the regulator and see if gas is going to the van (keep naked flames away) - you will need to do that anyway if you change the regulator (do you know how old it is?).

Hi Everything is open and been searching to see if isolation switch but none to my knowledge. So, I have no gas, although bottle is full (Regulator?) and no heating on EHU and cant check if heating works on Gas as dont have any

Nightmare

Did the green button you pushed in look like this ?

If it wouldn't stay in it means there is no gas pressure so either the regulator has failed or faulty bottle/no gas.Unfortunately the Alde won't work without the fuse🙁

or like tis if it's a duo control. Either way, the button needs to stay pushed in for gas to flow.

Thank you, this is one I have with small green button but def does not stay in when I push in for 5 seconds?

I'm afraid to say it is sounding like your regulator is stuck, so not letting any gas through, hence button will not stay in.

When safe to do so, I would agree with post above, that you detach the bottle (having turned off the valve on bottle top first!) then slightly open the valve, on top of bottle, just to check the gas flows and bottle isn't faulty. Please keep your hands clear of the escaping gas from the bottle and when you undo it. Preferably wear gloves. LPG can freeze burn skin quickly and painfully.

If the bottle is okay, then it is almost certainly a regulator fault. Easily resolved by changing the regulator.

Good luck. Let us know how you get on please.

Keep regulator button pressed in whilst you press the Green button in, then release regular button and Green button should stay in. It looks like a Securimotion system.(y)
