Fellow Funsters,

I have a bit of a strange one.

We are currently staying at the CMC Broadway site in our Motorhome. This morning after Mrs CTJ had had a shower I heard a noise that sounded like a lot water being dumped from the boiler.

I went outside to investigate and hot water was dropping down from the chassis area of the vehicle underneath where the ALDE boiler is positioned.

I have searched the internet and could not find any information on what may have caused this to happen.

I have put a call in to a local ALDE service agent but not holding out much hope of seeing him before Christmas so I wondered if anyone could offer any advice of what may have happened and how to fix it.

Access to the boiler is behind a plastic cover which in turn is behind the Gaslow system so I only want to remove all that if it will be something I can fix.

Many thanks, Paul aka CTJ

I suggest you phone Alde support, 01933 677765. They are very helpful. Just make sure you have as much info as you can about the system you have so they can identify it.

I am assuming it's not the cold protection where if it gets below a certain temp which I think is 5 degrees it then dumps the water

If not then it's going to be a call to alde

Bit of an update...

Turns out is wasn't an issue with the boiler but rather the hot water pipes at the junction used for draining down.

Struggling to get at the pipe that has become dislodged so will need someone with the right tools to assist.

In the meantime does anyone know where I can purchase this pipe as shown in the image attached?

We always carry a bit of pipe and a few fittings for this very reason👍

Thanks for your reply…I can’t find the 12mm ID version online so may need to go to a caravan/MH dealer

That is a 10mm German pipe, you won't get it in the UK but you should be able to get either Red or clear reinforced hose at any motorhome dealer, plenty on eBay.
