Hi I've been contemplating going to the South of France early next year do aires futher South open all year round or does depend on the area thanks

Aires are very few and far between in the south of France,if I was thinking of going it is one place I would be looking at sites.
 
I’ve found plenty of aires in the south , as in the whole of France the more touristy the area is the harder it is to find free aires but we have always managed
 
Try this. Change the Department to where you want.

Depends on your definition of South of France.
If youre looking for an aire around Nice then you will need good luck, but pop inland about 30 miles and although not official aires there are numerous places to park in several villages around Provence. This is where park4night and campercontact give more availabilities that S4S but you need to read the reviews carefully i.e. height barrier
